Adam McWethy is the vice president of Marketing, Content and Faculty at Spear Education. He wears a lot of hats over there in Scottsdale! Jason and Alan had a chance to talk with him on how he came to dentistry, what his role at the Spear Center is and most importantly, some new research that's being released that everyone is going to want to check out. Jason and Alan had the chance to talk with Dr. Arun Garg about dental implant training and Dr. Jorge Zapata about dental microscopes while they were at the Chicago Midwinter meeting.

Dr. Arun Garg's name is synonymous with dental implant training. Whether it's one of his seminars given all across the United States, his teaching institute in the Dominican Republic or his many textbooks...you've probably heard of him. But you may not have heard about his interesting journey into teaching dental implants. The Dental Hacks got to hear his story first hand and now you can, too!

Dr. Jorge Zapata started using dental operating microscopes because of neck and back pain but realized that his dentistry had never been better once he learned how to use one. Jorge tells Alan his story, explains how the Academy of Microscope Enhanced Dentistry is changing for the better and why he thinks you should look into a dental operating microscope for yourself.

Jason and Alan interview the most interesting guest you may have never heard of. We met R.J. Adolfi at the Chicago Midwinter and we think his story is fascinating!

Did you ever wonder how DSOs started? Our guest on episode 181 is R.J. Aldofi. His family started "Upstate Dental" which eventually became a brand almost everyone knows...Aspen Dental. In fact, R.J. was the CEO of Aspen for almost 10 years. He left the company in 1999 and stayed away from dentistry until recently. R.J.'s story is awesome...he grew up in the waiting room and has opened more dental offices than anyone we can think of. He blew us away with his knowledge and we think you'll love his story. His latest project, "My Community Dental Centers" (www.mydental.org) is a nonprofit chain of dental offices focused on serving Medicaid populations in Michigan, Ohio and Kentucky.
